About Me

After nearly 20 years as a pharmaceutical copywriter, I’ve changed careers to editing copy instead of writing it. In my years as a copywriter, I worked closely with editors, learning what they did as we readied material for review committees.

2026–present

Freelance Senior Medical Editor

IWorked at a large agency with dozens of clients and brands, performing cold reads, check changes, word-for-word edits, and fact-checking for brochures, websites, apps, videos, emails, and social media posts that targeted patients and healthcare professionals

2007–2024

Copywriter (freelance and staff)

My copywriting career was the precursor to my copyediting career. For 18 years, I wrote copy for brochures, websites, apps, videos, emails, and social media posts and worked closely with editors as they performed their tasks. I also sourced claims, producing a thorough, organized annotated manuscript for editors to fact-check.
